I was asked to create a postcard illustration with the concept of Revelry. So I decided to make a fun fruit party. The challenge was doodling on three different sheets of paper and then making a collage.
Doodling
Rather than developing a composition through stages of roughs and thumbnails, the idea was to create a library of doodles of small objects and characters, and make a collage with Photoshop's help. This means working from a blank canvas and building the illustration up through the addition and subtraction of visual elements. To accomplish this challenge, I chose to make little illustrations with Arrrtx Acrylic Markers on paper. Then I scanned it and started to play with Photoshop.
My layers in Photoshop are so organized. I'm proud!
